Job Summary
Flanagan Flooring Distributors (Scotland) Ltd are currently looking to recruit a new member of our Sales team. The successful applicant will be responsible for customers in the Lothian and Borders region, developing our existing customer base and prospecting for new business opportunities within our target markets.

Role Responsibilities & Duties
The role is based on the road within the Lothians & Borders area. As the face of our company, your role means you are key to maintaining our customer's confidence and trust. To many customers, you will be the member of the Flanagan's team they see most often, critical to delivering our goal of a truly personal service. Our Sales Managers go above and beyond to help meet customers' needs and are always providing the company with feedback on how we can be better.

Role is focused on building relationships with your customers, promoting our own branded products, and increasing sales

Developing existing customer base and prospecting for new business opportunities

Maintaining relationships with existing customers so that they have confidence in you, and have a good working knowledge of the products we offer

Promoting new products, placing various point of sale to maximise sales opportunities

Meeting / exceeding monthly / yearly sales targets

Follow up sales and new account leads
-
Face to face engagement with customer base, creating a suitable schedule to contact and visit your customers regularly
Qualities, Skills & Requirements
-
Live in or around the Lothians and Borders region
-
Great communicator
-
Able to build strong relationships with new and existing customers

Proactive and have the ability to time manage

Experience in sales (preferably within the flooring industry, but not essential)

Excellent written / verbal communication skills

Product and competitor knowledge within the flooring industry (preferable, but not essential)

Full Driving Licence

Organised

Self-reliant and self-motivated

Confident in using technology
