As IT Manager based at our site in Saintfield, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure enabling us to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Key responsibilities: ​​

IT Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, network equipment, and workstations.
     

  • Ensure the availability, security, and performance of our systems, implementing necessary upgrades and improvements as required.
     

  • Monitor system backups and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.

Help Desk support and trouble shooting.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests from employees, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
     

  • Trouble shoot hardware, software, and network problems, providing technical expertise and guidance to users.
     

  • Collaborate with external suppliers and service providers to resolve complex technical issues.

Systems Integration and Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to optimise and streamline business processes through effective use of IT systems.
     

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement system integrations and enhancements.
     

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and assess their potential benefits and applicability to our organisation.

Data management and security

  • Over see data management activities, including data base administration, data backups, data integrity checks.
     

  • Implement and enforce security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive company and customer data.
     

  • Conduct periodic security audits and assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities.

IT Management

  • Lead and manage IT projects, from planning and resource allocation to implementation and evaluation.
     

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
     

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an IT manager in a similar IT leadership role within a distribution or logistics environment.

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, and cloud technologies.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Experience with ERP systems, warehouse management systems and inventory management software.

  • Familiarity with industry specific applications for flooring industry would be advantageous.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Knowledge of data management and security best practices.

Hours of work: 9.00 am - 5.15 pm Monday to Friday
